Arbel studied painting in several settings in Israel – Tami Bezaleli Studio in Jerusalem, the Kalisher School in Tel Aviv, and Aram Gershoni Studio in Tel Aviv. She then studied classical painting at the Arts Students League in New York with Richard Pionk. Noa Arbel's paintings draw inspiration from urbanism as well as open natural landscapes. The paintings are figurative in style, bordering on the abstract, rich in textures and colors. In recent years, her paintings have moved towards abstraction.
