About Contemporary Istanbul 2026:
Contemporary Istanbul 2026 returns for its 21st edition from September 23–27, 2026 at Tersane Istanbul, with a VIP Preview on September 23 and public days from September 24–27. The international contemporary art fair welcomes more than 70 galleries from 24 countries, presenting over 1,500 works by more than 500 artists.
The 2026 edition includes the two-year Focus: Asia initiative and the new New Grounds section dedicated to young and emerging galleries. Special projects include Jaume Plensa's seven-metre public sculpture Juana alongside presentations involving Chisato Matsumoto, Cao Taiping, Shaikh Rashid Al Khalifa, Shozo Shimamoto, the SIGG Foundation, and MIA Art Collection. The program is complemented by CIF Dialogues, bringing international perspectives on contemporary art, culture, and global exchange.
