Yuri Tremler was born in 1961 in Ukraine. He graduated from art studies in Krakow and Germany. He also worked in interior design and theater set design.
He immigrated to Israel in 1996, where he turned to a new style of painting, which includes working with thick layers of paint and large paint surfaces, with an emphasis on earth colors. Some of his paintings also include work with other materials.
