Olexandra Bakhina was born in 1964 in Kyiv, Ukraine. She graduated from the Republican Secondary Art School in Kyiv in 1982 and later studied at the Ukrainian Academy of Arts (1987–1993) in the theatre-decorative section under the guidance of Prof. D.D. Lider.
Since 1987, Olexandra has participated in Republican Art Exhibitions and became a member of the Artists' Union of Ukraine in 1995. In 1996, she won the Art Competition commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the UN.
