Programme Highlights for 2025
Frieze Seoul 2025 features an expanded programme of live art, film, talks, and artist projects both inside COEX and across the city.
Frieze LIVE partners with Art Sonje Center to present off-site 2: Eleven Episodes, spotlighting emerging Korean artists with performances at COEX, Dosan Park, and Kukje Gallery K2.
Frieze Film joins forces with the 13th Seoul Mediacity Biennale for rooftop screenings at SeMA, exploring mystical and spiritual themes.
Frieze Talks, in collaboration with Kiaf SEOUL and KAMS, covers topics like queer identity, AI in art, and Korea’s growing influence, featuring voices from across Asia and beyond.
Additional highlights include site-specific works by Liam Gillick and Moon Kyungwon & Jeon Joonho, a ceramic charity project with Print Bakery, and the return of Neighbourhood Nights, activating Seoul’s key gallery districts each evening from September 1–4.
Frieze Seoul in 2024: Global Highlights
Frieze reached new heights in 2024, partnering with the British Council to support John Akomfrah’s powerful pavilion at the Venice Biennale. At Frieze London, Tate acquired work by Indigenous artist Naminapu Maymuru-White, and Frieze Los Angeles awarded its Impact Prize to Gary Tyler, whose quilts tell stories of injustice and survival.

Good to Know
- Children under 7 get in free (with an adult)
- Strollers are welcome; the venue is fully accessible
- Snacks and drinks are available at the fair
- COEX Mall downstairs has plenty of dining and shopping options
- The fair is cashless – bring a card
- Large bags and restricted items aren’t allowed
COEX is right in the heart of Gangnam and easy to get to.
Take Subway Line 2 to Samseong Station (Exit 5 or 6) or Line 9 to Bongeunsa Station (Exit 7).
Parking
There’s paid parking on-site and in surrounding lots, including underground garages—but it fills up fast. If you can, take the subway for the smoothest arrival.
