Art Basel Miami Beach 2025 Overview
From December 5 – 7, 2025, Art Basel returns to the Miami Beach Convention Center, transforming the city into the global capital of modern and contemporary art. The show will feature leading galleries, curated projects, and cultural programming that extends across Miami Beach and beyond. With its blend of blue-chip art, emerging voices, and large-scale installations, the fair remains the most important art event in the United States.

Exhibitors and SectorsArt Basel Miami Beach 2025 is divided into sectors, each designed to highlight different curatorial approaches and artistic practices:
- Galleries: The main sector, showcasing international Modern and contemporary masters alongside emerging talents.
- Meridians: Monumental, large-scale works that challenge the traditional art fair format.
- Nova: New works created in the last three years, presented by one to three artists.
- Positions: Solo presentations by emerging artists at young galleries.
- Survey: Dedicated to historically significant practices and overlooked narratives.
- Kabinett: Curated selections displayed in separate sections of gallery booths.
- Magazines: A platform for international art publications.
- Conversations: Talks and debates with leading cultural voices (2025 program TBA).
Art Basel Miami Beach welcomes families through Art Kids, a free program for children ages 5–11, hosted by the Miami Children’s Museum. In 2025, the theme focuses on sustainable art, encouraging kids to create with recycled materials. Activities include hands-on workshops, storytelling, and creative play, giving children a meaningful way to explore art while parents enjoy the fair.

The 2024 edition of Art Basel Miami Beach, the first led by Director Bridget Finn, featured 286 galleries from 38 countries and welcomed over 75,000 visitors. Robust sales placed works by modern masters and contemporary voices into major collections, while more than 230 museums and foundations attended.

Highlights included a reimagined Meridians sector curated by Yasmil Raymond, record attendance for Conversations led by Kimberly Bradley, Miami Beach’s Legacy Purchase Program, and the launch of the new Art Basel App with Microsoft. The fair further expanded with Digital Dialogues at New World Symphony and the largest-ever Art Basel Shop.

Accessibility and Visitor ServicesThe Miami Beach Convention Center is ADA-compliant and provides complimentary manual wheelchairs and scooters on a first-come, first-served basis. Nursing pods are available in the West and East lobbies, while stroller access is permitted throughout the venue. Clear security and bag policies are in place to ensure safety for all guests.
Getting to the FairThe fair is easily accessible by air, car, and public transport:
- Airports: Miami International Airport (MIA) and Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport (FLL).
- Public Transport: Miami Beach buses ($2.25 each way) and free City of Miami Beach trolley service.
- Ride Sharing: Uber, Lyft, and Brightline train connections from across South Florida.
- By Car: Accessible via I-395, I-195, and Venetian Causeway, with valet and self-parking available.
- By Bike: Citi Bike stations across Miami Beach, with racks at the MBCC.
