From March 27–29, 2026, Art Basel returns to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), reaffirming its role as the most important art fair in Asia. The show brings together leading international galleries, ambitious large-scale projects, and citywide cultural programming that expands Hong Kong’s position as a global arts hub. Preview days will be held on March 25 and 26 (by invitation only).
Art Basel Hong Kong highlights Asia-Pacific’s astonishing diversity while offering international perspectives through Modern and contemporary art, making it a vital meeting point for collectors, curators, and cultural leaders.
Exhibitors and SectorsArt Basel Hong Kong 2026 is divided into dynamic sectors, each designed to showcase the richness of artistic practices:
- Galleries: Premier international Modern and contemporary art galleries.

Art Basel Hong Kong extends beyond the fairgrounds with a rich public program:
- Conversations: Talks exploring patronage, technology, and artistic practice, curated by Stephanie Bailey.
- Film: Screenings presented at HKCEC with contributions from Para Site, Nowness Asia, and Videotage.
- Exchange Circle: Experimental content including artist talks, workshops, and book presentations.
- Offsite Encounters: British artist Monster Chetwynd’s large-scale installation at Pacific Place, supported by Swire Properties.
- M+ Facade: The co-commissioned video work Night Charades by Ho Tzu Nyen, presented with UBS, reimagines Hong Kong cinema’s golden age using AI.
- Tai Kwun’s Artists’ Night: A night of experimental performances across multiple venues on March 28.
Art Basel Hong Kong 2025 closed on a high note, bringing together 240 galleries from 42 countries and territories and welcoming 91,000 visitors across its VIP and public days. The fair reinforced Hong Kong’s position as the premier hub for art in Asia, attracting top collectors, institutions, and cultural leaders from around the world.

Exhibitors reported strong sales across all sectors, with works by leading names such as Yayoi Kusama, Louise Bourgeois, Zeng Fanzhi, and Tracey Emin placed into major private and institutional collections. The debut of the MGM Discoveries Art Prize highlighted the fair’s commitment to emerging voices, awarding artist Shin Min (P21, Seoul) for her provocative installation Ew! There is hair in the food!!.

Visitor InformationThe HKCEC is fully accessible, with ramps, elevators, tactile guides, and Braille directories. Amenities include wheelchair services, coat check, and designated dining areas.
Visitors must comply with bag and security policies: backpacks, trolleys, and large bags are not permitted in halls. Photography for personal use is allowed but without flashes, tripods, or drones.

Visitors and bags are subject to security checks. Only one small bag per person is allowed; large bags, backpacks, and trolleys must be stored at the coat check. Cameras up to 16 × 12 × 8 cm with one lens (max 80mm) are permitted; no flash, tripods, selfie sticks, or drones. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult, and only certified service animals are allowed. No outside food, drinks, smoking, or vaping inside the venue.
