I am Nurit (Mona) Shany, an Israeli painter, daughter of the author and storyteller Yossel Birstein. I live and paint in Tzur Hadassa, a small community near Jerusalem. In my art, I am deeply influenced by Israeli nature, which has always been—and still is—a significant part of my life and identity.
