Noell Tarpey is a contemporary abstract artist exploring emotion through color, texture, and movement.
Noell Tarpey is a contemporary abstract painter based in San Diego, California. A master painter with more than 33 years of experience, she is adept at working with oil, cold wax, acrylic, plaster, and paper.
She builds each painting in successive layers, adding and removing elements until the surface holds a single, settled emotion. With a deep understanding of texture and color, she uses these elements to convey feelings in her artwork. Each piece expresses itself through color, texture, and movement.
