Maia Siradze was born on Augustus 19, 1971 in Georgia. She has been passionate about drawing since her childhood and has been making graphic sketches for as long as she can remember. In 1990 she graduared from the M. Toidze art school, specializing in wall tapestry. After the technical school Maia continued her studies at the Tbilisi Academy of Fine Arts ( 1991 - 1997) specializing in dress desigh.
After her academic aducation Maia began to search for her own style and identity. Actually everyone can learn how to paint, but not everyone can become an artist, but Maia did!
Maia creates abstract compositions through flat spaces in her paintings. Her works are the mixture of colorful graphics, cubism and abstraction.
In 2001 Maia has emigrated to the Netherlands, where she lives and works. Married and has a daughter. Her works are in the private collections in various countries such as : Georgia, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France, Italy , Austria and Malta.
Maia has participated in solo and group exhibitions in Georgia and the Netherlands.
