Uri Lifshitz was an Israeli painter and sculptor, born in 1936 in Kibbutz Givat Hashlosha. Lifshitz's style was considered groundbreaking, and he was among the postmodernist artists. Initially, he painted mainly in a lyrical abstract style, but in the 1960s, he shifted to a more figurative style. Lifshitz was also part of the innovative and pioneering "Ten Plus" group.
