Viktor Sheleg – Innovative Contemporary Latvian Artist with a Distinctive Vision
Cubism | Figurative | Semi-Abstract | Symbolism
Although she has always been an artist at heart, she began painting seriously only in 2020. From an early age, Elena loved to draw and took part in various drawing competitions. She illustrated posters, school newspapers, and classroom materials—despite never attending a formal art school.
At the age of 50, Elena revisited her childhood dream of painting. It was during the pandemic lockdown in 2020 that she began taking online painting courses, marking the true beginning of her artistic journey.
In 2021, she held her first solo exhibition at the Thermal Center in Rimini and has since organized numerous group shows and one-night exhibitions at local tourist venues. Elena is an active member of several artist associations in both Italy and Russia.
Under the initials ED, she continues to fulfill her deep creative passion—to brighten the world with vibrant, uplifting art. Her works often feature a colorful, kaleidoscopic aesthetic around a semi-realistic subject, painted in acrylic or oil. Her aim is to spread joy and positivity through each brushstroke.
Elena regularly exhibits her work in Italy and internationally. She is also recognized for her ability to curate artistic events, including the acclaimed international exhibition “12 Months of Joy” held in Rimini in late 2022. With many more exhibitions and competitions ahead, Elena shows no sign of slowing down.
