Alexander Shibniov was born on January 2, 1962, in Minsk, Belarus, into a family of fine art painters, making him the fourth generation of artists in his lineage. He studied at the Minsk School of Art, graduating in both fine art and applied arts. Alexander began his career as a decorator of public buildings but soon devoted himself entirely to fine art.
His compositions, characterized by their purity, convey a sense of spiritual harmony between humans and their environment. Alexander works with tempera, an ancient technique using natural pigments mixed with egg yolk, applied on wood. This method lends his paintings a timeless, poetic quality.
Alexander’s art captures the beauty of life’s simplest elements. Without featuring heroes, his works inspire a profound sense of peace and serenity.
