About Celebrating the Sacred Arts in August:
Running from August 10–16, 2025, the Edinburgh Festival of the Sacred Arts offers a citywide celebration of spirituality and creativity. Now in its seventh year, the festival opens with a service at St John's Episcopal Church (featuring Rowan Williams, former Archbishop of Canterbury) and concludes with Choral Evensong at St Michael and All Saints, Tollcross. The week is filled with sacred music performances, art exhibitions, poetry, architecture tours, and film screenings. New for 2025 are youth competitions in sacred music composition and religious poetry, spotlighting the next generation of spiritual artists.
