Transforming adversity into art, I embraced my journey from precise realism to the enigmatic beauty of palette knife painting—fueling a passionate evolution in my Bustan Hagalil studio amidst life’s unexpected turns.
My life took an unforeseen shift nine years ago following the birth of my son, when I was affected by a virus. This challenge led to life in a wheelchair, a damaged vocal cord, and impaired fine motor skills. During my rehabilitation journey, I embarked on a transformative path in art.
Although my earlier work was defined by precision and realism, my new physical limitations compelled me to explore different techniques. Previously dependent on detailed brushwork, I have now transitioned to using palette knives—90% palette knives and 10% brushes, to be exact.
Art has been my passion since childhood, further nurtured by my studies in graphic design, which provided a strong foundation in the field. The challenge of adapting my creative process led me to embrace the expressive potential of imprecision. This shift ignited a deep love for the bold and mysterious nature of palette knife painting.
Today, I proudly run my own studio in the picturesque Moshav Bustan Hagalil, where I continue to evolve my artistic expression—finding beauty, power, and freedom through art, even in the face of life’s trials.
